NeoRussell’s Corner

Sorry for the lack of updates guys. Too many things happening. I’m usually free on mon-wed to make videos but I took a night class that kind of distracts me at the moment. Don’t sweat though, even though I have no videos at the moment, they are being worked on and will resume normally.

Thank you for the comments and always appreciate the thanks as well. Without you guys, there is really no website so keep em coming.

Marvel Vs Capcom 2 Trailer

As you can see, after 9 years of being ported to many systems. Are yo ready for the game to be ported to both 360 and PS3 come summer time? $15 for PSN network and 1200 points for 360. Let the spamming of combos and assist begin.

——————————–

Tekken 6: PSP

I seem to be late with the news lately. This one slipped by me.
You heard right, the game that will come out for 360 and PS3 come winter time will also be released for the PSP. Not many is known yet but it will have the same feature that the console has.

It’s great that BanCo is releasing in every system but I can’t really see the PSP version other than being a Practice game. I mean, it is literally a portable combo practice to bring in the arcade.

Still, it’s great to hear that the game will come out for our portables.

Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny (PSP)

Another classic being reborn but only for the lucky PSP owners. No Vader or Yoda this time. Appears to include 1 new character and confirmed 30 slots. According to GameSpot, the lighting will follow your eyes. I don’t know if that sounds cool or not but all we can do is wait for it.

SFIV Dan Combos, Zangief Short Jump, Akuma Goodness

NeoRussell’s Corner

Summer should be starting this weekend for some states. I know its happening in Toronto this weekend.

I got a few friends coming from Japan for 2 weeks so i’m not saying that I will not be able to release videos, i’m just saying that it may take awhile.

I think it’s safe to say that everybody should be pretty familiar with SFIV now. Time for you to enter Tournaments and Gatherings to prove how good you are. Practice does leads to greatness but experience must be included in there. You can practice all day but using it in a real match is different. The pressure of landing it properly and boasting to the loser. It’s all part of the game. Make sure you go out there and play as many different characters as possible. It will help you to be a better player, I guarantee it.

Upcoming Projects:
BR Videos
Viper Guide
E. Honda Guide
Small TidBit videos

Anyways, on with the show.

Street Fighter IV

Dan Combo Video

Dan is considered by many as low tier. If you want to beat people with Dan. You have to step up your game. You have to be very good with the SFIV system and also have great knowledge of the other characters. It’s not like picking Shoto’s where you just pick up the character and have the best moves in the game to counter everybody. With Dan, it’s more than that. Learn his moves and then learn how he fights against every character. Only then can you succeed with him. Good Luck Dan users.

—-
Zangief Short Jump

Notation: u~uf will perform Zangief’s Short Jump
Hopefully you can notice in the video how powerful this move is. They whiff their move and you do 360, Super, or Ultra. Instant death. Zangief is the only one who can do this.

—-
Akuma Instant Ultra Demon

Watch closely since he does it really fast and only once. He does explain it but it’s in Japanese so sorry.

Notation: f~b~lp~lk+hp
How is this useful?
Let’s say your just walking and the opponent thinks your just walking towards him.
He’ll do a long range move and before that comes out, you do ultra. Think of this as a feint. To make them think your are just advancing but really you have Ultra Coming.

Got Balls Series and Daigo vs Justin Wong

Posted on Apr 19, 2009 08:59:04 AM

NeoRussell’s Corner

I’m starting a new series called “Got Balls”.
It’s basically a few videos that I think will help in a heated match but you have be have Balls to do it. It will be a few short videos on my end.

I’m sorry if it’s taking time for videos to come out. They do take time for research, capping and creating the video. For now I can only create short videos. Patience is a virtue.

Got Balls Series

Akuma vs Akuma

You have Ultra and he has ultra. He does an Ultra Raging Demon on you, whether it would be close or far, you can do your own Ultra Raging Demon to counter it. As long as you are not in a negative position, you can get him as well.

Just don’t worry and do it. You’ll get style points and win the match. Godly reaction and precise input of Raging Demon needed.

Daigo vs Justin Wong: Exhibition Match

As a Shoto, you have the power of a Dragon Punch. If you see it carefully, everytime Justin did the Messiah (Jump downward kick), he kept getting uppercutted. Let this be a learning experience if you face a Rufus and you have a Shoto or somebody who has an uppercut.

SFIV and Tekken BR videos

Posted on Apr 14, 2009 09:55:30 AM

SFIV: Break That Armor Baby!!

Now I mentioned this on the video. You don’t have to break their armor with the moves specified. You can just tap them twice with LP. I created the video, to show you that you have options. There are a few characters that have great Focus Break Moves since most Focus Attacks happen when you are about to get up. Play around with it and you’ll be one step closer to GREATNESS.

Tekken 6: BR Videos

Craig Marduk

He seems better but I really wouldn’t know since I don’t use him at all.

NeoRussell’s Corner

I seem to be getting a lot of messages regarding the music I include with my videos. Sorry if I didn’t add the BGM in the credits before, I was kind of scared that Youtube would block them since they did it with two of my videos already. I figured, what the hell so i’m including it again now.

I am currently out of BR videos at the moment. I will probably cap more a little later. I am also trying out Sugoi Arcana Heart II, but right now it does not look like a good game to me. The game reminds me of the classic Neo Geo fighting games. It runs slow but i’ll give it a chance a little later.

I also got a message asking why I don’t have any King of Fighters video. What is the most popular King of Fighters out there right now anyway? I don’t want to be creating videos that will not be useful for players. Can somebody help me out with what version should I be working on?

NeoRussell Burned Out for a bit

Posted on Apr 13, 2009 12:45:57 PM

NeoRussell’s Corner

Sorry but no video today guys. I usually post on Mondays since I create videos on the weekend.

Anyways, my only news is that I won 7th Place in a tournament I hosted on Saturday. I used Vega and 1 match using Dhalsim. There were 56 entrants for this tournament and I got to tell you SFIV brings people together. My advice is if you are planning to have an SFIV tourny, make sure you can accomodate twice the amount of expected players you think are coming. I really was only expecting 30 people but it was almost twice that.

Upcoming Videos:
-Two more videos coming for BR but after that I have to cap again.
-Completing Dan stuff
-Completing SFIV system related videos
-I have a C.Viper video coming up soon with the help of a C.Viper player.
-If you have any ideas, just bounce them off me.
