Somebody created a Ryu Tutorial that might peek your interest.
He does say its a Ghetto Ryu Tutorial.
strong>Mickey D’s Ryu Tutorial Video
Part II
—-
Still finishing up the 2nd part of Akuma’s Raging Demon Video. I had it finished but after a gathering I went to last week, a few things had to be corrected. Sigh. It sucks I know, but I can’t be handing out videos that are false.
Classic DLC Pack
The last DLC was out yesterday.
3/17 – Classic Pack: Guile, Dhalsim, Fei-Long, Blanka, and Gen
Get it now and enjoy the Charlie costume for Guile. LOL, that’s so awesome.
Tekken 6
I started creating the videos for Characters updated moves. I should have one done by tomorrow or the next day. Please be patient.
SFIV Tournament
I Organized and Participated in an SFIV tournament this weekend.
Boy that was fun but tiring I must say.
SFIV really brought alot of new players and it will increase even more. Results
Videos will be up soon.
I was not the one recording so i got no control over it.
How do you practice replies?
Thanks for the reply guys. Appreciate it alot.
My friend told me yesterday in the tournament that he did listen and started practicing his character in Practice mode for a couple of hours. He is STD in the results page. He’s not there but hopefully on his way.
You can read the replies here Scroll to the Bottom
NeoRussell Correction:
The 1st Raging Demon had atleast 20% not correct.
It seems that some of those Guaranteed Demons I mentioned in the video may not be.
I do apologize for that. I am making sure the 2nd video is fully guaranteed.
Raging Demon: How-To
Somebody sent me a message in youtube asking how I do Raging Demon so fast.
-First I have to say, making the videos helped me alot.
-Second, I did it “like” 1000 times
-Third, practice of course
Anyways, I gave him a few notes for doing Raging Demon Properly.
I figure, I shouldn’t let the info go to waste.
There was a few people who helped me find the timing so Kudos to them, whomever they are cause I cannot remember.
Keep in mind:
-SUPER has no start up (Time Freezes).
-Ultra has atleast a second delay.
Standing Position:
-When you do the first two lp, the minute that the 2nd lp comes out, You should already be pressing f+lk+hp. Do it fast enough that you don’t see the 2nd lp come out.
Crouching Position:
-So your crouching
-while you are holding down to attack, move the direction to df.
-From there, you hold df while pressing lp, lp, then let go of DF and quickly tap df+lk+hp
-He should instantly do Raging Demon even though you were crouching.
-Practice this one.
-You may have to do a move before like d.hk and then practice the follow up.
-Remember, try not to get the 2nd lp to come out.
From a Blocked Standing Position:
-This requires timing.
-You will need to finish the Raging Demon notation the second your block animation ends.
-Go to practice and do this
-Record Ryu to do Shoryuken
-Block his Shoryuken.
-There’s a split second between his move and your block.
-Between that, you have to do lp, lp,
-The second your block animation ends, all you need to do is f+lk+hp.
-Basically, you are buffering lp, lp before you block animation ends.
-Practice and you’ll get this eventually.
From a Blocked Crouching Position:
-This requires timing.
-You will need to finish the Raging Demon notation the second your block animation ends.
-Go to practice and do this
-Record Bison to do d.hk (I recommend somebody else who has a fast trip but Bison is a good example)
-Block this move.
-There’s a split second between his move and your block.
-The way SFIV system works, it considers DF a forward direction.
-This helps us alot.
-Between blocking Bison’s d.hk, you have to lp, lp, You should not see these punches come out.
-Finish the notation before the block animation ends.
-The second your block animation ends, tap df+lk+hp quickly.
-Again, you should not see the two punches come out.
-You have to do them between blocking his move.
-Practice, it helps.
Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion
I will be releasing new T6 moves this week.
Keep in mind that this will be coming out sparingly.
The game is $1 per play so with 45 characters, I will be doing them on different days.
I heard it’s more expensive in other places. So I guess i’m kind of lucky.
“Practice Leads To Greatness”

WWE: Test R.I.P.
I know it has nothing to do with games but I just want to mention this since I am a big WWE fan for over 10 years now.
Andrew “Test” Martin
R.I.P (March 17, 1975 – March 13, 2009)
I was a real fan of Test when I was a 15 or so.
It’s sad to hear that he has passed on.
We will miss you Andrew “Test” Martin.
Thanks for the entertainment.
I’m actually quite curious as to how people practice.
True Story:
I was at a friends place yesterday playing SFIV, and most of these players are from Soul Calibur trying to learn SFIV. I tell him what works and what doesn’t, he listens. But then I see him doing unnecessary things and having problems connecting combos. Simple and basic combos.
I told him, why don’t you practice those combos in Training first.
He said I don’t learn that way, he learns by Battle experience.
So we ended up arguing. (Friendly argument)
The point we both made:
-I told him, if you want to get better, practice those combos first. Think of setups.
-He said, he knows those combos and setups but just needs Battle Experience to implement them.
-I tell him that’s why you should practice them properly in training so that you can do it properly in a match.
-He said, I learn by doing it in a match.
-That went around for awhile until I gave up.
I want to say that my discussion with him is not over yet.
I feel that the way he wants to learn the game is wrong. My opinion.
He does not seem to think so. His own way will work, eventually.
The whole night, I just kept saying, “Don’t worry you’ll eventually get it after your 1000th match”
So here I am wondering to myself, how do people practice, is this how people practice?
Do they follow my way – learn the character, practice combos and then play
My friends – Learn the character, know her combos but just relies on BE to get them to work.
Any another way – do you have a way that works
I know my way works for me.
What about yours?
I’m kind of curious what people do to achieve Greatness
Thoughts?
You can reply to this post or send me a message neorussell@soulcalibur.ca
I will post whomever replies.
New DLC out today (Mar. 10th)
3/10 – Shadowloo Pack: Seth, M. Bison, Sagat, Balrog, and Vega
Get it while it’s hot.
Akuma Raging Demon Madness: Part 1
A Few Notes:
Super Raging Demon has no start up so when you do it up close, it will be an instant grab. Keep in mind that if they a bit far away, they can jump away.
Ultra Raging Demon has start up. Up close, they have enough time to jump.
-Raging Demon is better used as a Reversal. Dishing this out for no reason will land you in a world of hurt. Don’t be Desperate, be Smart
-I noticed (after doing Raging Demon 1000 times for this video, lol) that you need to be in STANDING position for this to come out really well. I had a hard time pulling Raging Demon out after a crouch. You’ll notice in the video that after a string of blocked moves, I always stand up.
-You’ll also notice that I only covered the top half of the Character Selection Screen. Bottom half will be later. I was thinking of the Youtube 10 minute restriction so I had no choice. Still capping anyway.
Finally got my Camera back. Also bought a 16gb SD Card to accomodate the movies. I should have new Tekken 6 videos soon. Keep in mind that I will just be showcasing T6:BR’s new moves. I will not doing all the new moves again. Stay Tuned
Penny For Your Thoughts
Today is Mar. 10
Let’s all celebrate Mario day.
Your probably asking, Super Mario has a day because his that awesome. While I can’t argue with that, it’s not about our well known Plumber. If you look at the date carefully, you will see why this day is MARIO day. For anybody who does not get it, I’m sorry for you.
